Coach Myles was a four year reserve guard at Paul Lawrence Dunbar HS in Baltimore. Under the direction of the late Coach Bucky Lee at Oliver Rec., Coach Myles learned to teach the fundamentals of the game, to encourage all of his players to play with intensity, focusing on defense first, as well as, executing the half court offense. Coach Myles strongly believes in teaching all young people to use basketball as a vehicle to help them succeed in life and become productive members of the community.
Coach Myles walked on at Bowie State University where he played two years before focusing on his education. In 2003, he graduated from Bowie St. with a degree in History Education. From 2004-2006, Coach Myles was the Program Director of Youth Sports and Sports Camps at the Harry and Jeannette Weinberg YMCA at Stadium Place. In 2005, Coach Myles began his high school coaching career at Baltimore City College, where he served as an assistant coach to Tony Biggus and Mike Daniels. From 2006-2010 Coach Myles was the Jr. Varsity Head Coach at St. Frances Academy serving under the direction of William Wells. In 2010-2011 Coach Myles was named the Boys Varsity Head Coach at St. Frances Academy. In his first season, the Panthers were 22-8. Following in the footsteps of the legendary William Wells (St. Frances’ first Athletic Director) and Jerome Shelton, Coach Myles is striving to take the Athletic Dept. to new heights in the BCL, IAAM & MIAA. During the 2013-14 campaign the Panthers were 33-6 and the BCL & MIAA regular season Champs, as well as the MIAA A Conference Tournament Champs. The 2015-16 season was another championship season. The girls IAAM and boys MIAA A varsity teams, both won their respective Tournament Championship games, on the same day!
